তৃতীয় নয়ন (The Third Eye)

What is justice? Is it simply a verdict by the court constrained by the boundaries of the law? Or is it the ruthless search for the truth aided by the deep probing “third eye”? This is the conundrum that manifests itself in its gory details in the enactment of – Tritiyo Noyon – by Chicago NatyoGoshthi. The ebb and flow of logic, emotion, vindictiveness and veiled nuances are rendered through edge-of-the-seat excitement in this play. What transpires in the drama reaches an unexpected crescendo highlighting the third eye’s truth seeking dominance over the limitations of man-made legal system.

প্রফুল্ল (The Rise of Debi Choudhurani)

DFW Play invites you to witness the rise of a woman in the the 18th century India who defied fate and became a legend. Prafulla, our bold new adaptation of Bankim Chandra’s masterpiece Debi Choudhurani, is more than just a story—it is an odyssey of resilience, betrayal, and transformation.
From the depths of abandonment to the heart of revolution, Prafulla’s journey is one of fire and defiance. Wronged, cast aside, and left with nothing, she does not crumble—she rises. In a world where power is seized, not given, she reclaims her destiny, forging her own path with the force of a river breaking free from its banks.
Set against the backdrop of colonial Bengal and Sannyasi movement, Prafulla is a visceral experience woven with evocative music, striking imagery, and the pulse of a people on the brink of change. It is about justice, courage and the choices that turn an ordinary woman into a symbol of resistance.
Come, step into her world. Let her story stir something deep within you.
